Your Perfect Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Zodiac Sign
The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the community. From the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the game's release, to players forming firm opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive designs that emphasize their traits, one thought came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as always angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes the Ram much more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Remain on the friendly side of either and benefit from a powerful ally; should you offend them, be ready to get burned.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Similar to a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross, both in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their position to the end. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Several past official descriptions note their fondness for sweet tree sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it all, which is true Taurus energy.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Observe this total queen. You cannot tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless stream of gossip to those who wants to listen. Just like an captivating, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly simple to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to predict an enemy’s future actions, which sounds quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
Cancer is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a intense sign known for often getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the creature with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also known for its capability to create a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.
Leo – Super Starmie
Well, did you assume I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be much too on the nose, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the identical energy a Leo brings to the scene. Starmie is also rumored to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a performance, even if for aliens.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly judgmental is clearly mirrored throughout this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a always shocked face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a plan.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Look at this sweet, empathetic being, who employs the feelers on its ears to detect how others are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and striving to maintain the peace, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about others.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and swore retribution on its former owner. Per the official info, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. As a Archer personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful little entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to foresee disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently think they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very initial Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Detached air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame category matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating presence is also very Water Bearer. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs negative energy and converts it into strength.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
