The tenth week once more provided excitement, with a huge upset for the Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' mantra that draws so many people into the National Football League
That result could have created things up for the New England Patriots to move back into a leading position they formerly held, with a schedule that gives them an edge over their eight and two competitors
Over in the NFC the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had ideal outcomes to arrange a monster clash in week 11, while our player of the week is pursuing milestones as well as the Most Valuable Player award
The Breakdown - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?
Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from defeating Kansas City the previous week or something more? This remains the question for the Bills to address
The Bills had won seven in a consecutive games against Miami but were second best from the start as the Miami team ran out 30-13 victors in an eye-opening outcome - and performance
MVP Josh Allen only got the team's initial first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the final quarter - yes Miami had ten days to prepare but it was still a massive egg produced by one of the league's top offences
Dolphins quarterback Tua threw two scores but running back De'Von Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 total yards and two touchdowns
Containing the NFL's top running game was crucial too, with Cook and company recording just eighty-six yards, their lowest of the season and just over half their 161.5 yard season average
Then there were the three crucial turnovers, and the pair from Allen in particular. An interception in the scoring area resulting in a nine minute drive produced nothing, and his final quarter fumble that Miami turned into a touchdown just two plays
It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they shot themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defensive side and Allen attempting to overcompensate to rescue his squad from the situation - rather than the calm, disciplined, balanced Buffalo team we've seen this year
The Dolphins have served up a varied performances this year so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the start of something, but for Buffalo they'll need an instant response in a tough game against the Buccaneers next week as the New England are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the summit of the American Football Conference East
In Focus - New England Identify Route to Surprise Top Seed
Speaking of the New England, they're one of three different eight and two teams in the league, all AFC sides, but could they be the top team?
You can pick holes in New England, the Broncos and Indianapolis really for dominating the lesser sides, with only five of their combined 24 wins achieved against teams with a positive record - and one example was the Colts beating the Broncos
Denver beat the reigning champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are kings of the final quarter while Indy can ride Taylor, but the New England adding Sunday's win in Tampa to their prime time success in Buffalo seems like a declaration
Their pair of losses occurred in recently appointed coach Mike Vrabel's first three games, with seven consecutive wins, just like the Broncos, from that point - but defeating Baker Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a bye to prepare was huge
Maye's MVP claims won't go away, and he certainly earns point for bravery after absorbing some savage hits in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to steer his side to victory
The defensive unit is reliable and rookie rusher TreVeyon Henderson burst onto the scene on Sunday with 147 rushing yards and two exciting touchdowns of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - establishing himself as just the fifth ball carrier to exceed 22mph this year on his first score
While you can argue who 'the best' is technically, the Pats should be favourites to end with the top record due to their schedule - which features just a single matchup against a successful opponent, albeit a significant contest against the Bills
Traveling to the Ravens is challenging too, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West with the Chiefs to face two times, the Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but face the same problem) and additionally the Packers on the schedule
The Colts also play the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two games with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There is a considerable distance to travel but the opportunity is available for a surprise number one position in the AFC
Next Week - Rams & Seahawks Set for Week 11 Clash
Two teams with solid claims to be superior to all of the three different 8-2 sides are NFC West opponents the Seattle and Rams, who each scored forty points to go to 7-2 ahead of the upcoming major game between the pair in LA
They've both secured four victories in a consecutive games, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Sam Darnold performing at an high standard (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with top receivers, and defenses allowing fewer than twenty points a contest
Both could easily be undefeated as well - especially the Los Angeles as their two defeats came in extra time against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning field goal with the final play deflected and run back by the Eagles for a score
Seattle also lost to San Francisco, with a late touchdown in week one, before falling to the final play of the game against the Buccaneers - so they are genuinely two of the top teams in the NFL
The upcoming game on Sunday could be the most exciting of the year to date
Player of the Week - Jonathan Taylor
Jonathan Taylor might be on for a record season after his incredible display in Berlin - running for 244 rushing yards, registering three touchdowns and contributing another 42 {receiving yards
