After a long period of anticipation, the BR mode for BF6 is finally releasing. The latest rumors suggesting its debut would align with Season 1 were spot-on. Players can jump into the mode starting tomorrow.
The New Season Introducing a Brand-New Arena, Mode, and Guns
In tandem with the BR release, the first season is also kicking off. This brings a fresh location, a fresh game type, and new weapons. On top of that, the Redacted Sector is making its debut. A included preview will go live at go-live, giving fans a taste of what's to come.
Free-to-Play Structure Allows Redsec Open to All
Perhaps the biggest detail is that Battlefield Redsec will be F2P. In the vein of established titles, you do not need to own the original Battlefield 6 to play. Some gamers have previously tried pre-release builds of the mode. Those tests were held in a testing environment, which the developers described as their largest community collaboration project.
The adrenaline rush during encounters with enemy players is unique in different battle royale. It feels a true survival situation, and you genuinely worry if you die or survive.
Even though I considered myself a skeptic previously, I'm completely a fan of the battle royale since trying it.
Such first reactions from testers have been very positive. Naturally, the experience may have changed over the last month or two in terms of balancing and pace. But, first impressions are positive that the battle royale could be a true alternative to established titles. Some are wishing that the best guns from the main game will also apply in the battle royale.
